With nearly 50 years of coaching experience at the high school and NCAA Division I level, Bob McKillop has worked basketball clinics across the world and right in his own backyard. With vast experience at the national and international level, McKillop has coached athletes from 26 different countries and worked multiple clinics from the US and Canada to Italy, Slovenia, Greece, Spain, Germany, Finland, Nigeria, Ireland, Israel and more.

A HIGH SCHOOL COACH. A PROVEN WINNER.

Bob McKillop coached 15 years at the high school level in New York State, with a five-year stint at Holy Trinity High School from 1973-78.

From there, McKillop led Long Island Lutheran basketball for 10 years from 1979-1989.

He earned 268 wins at the high school level, compiling a

268-106 mark (.717).

Before heading to Davidson in May of 1989, McKillop captured five New York State Championships.

DAVIDSON BY THE NUMBERS

After 33 season, McKillop's record was 634-380 overall, ranking him 55th all-time in Division I men's basketball coaching wins.

McKillop led the Davidson Wildcats to 10 NCAA Tournament appearances, including the famous 2008 Elite Eight run.

McKillop and the 'Cats won eight conference tournament championships, in addition to 15 regular season titles. He also led Davidson on a 43-game conference win streak from 2007-09, the eighth longest in NCAA history.

An 11-time Conference Coach of the Year, McKillop was also named the 2008 NABC National Coach of the Year.

HALL OF FAMER

Bob McKillop is a member of numerous halls of fame including, the New York City Basketball Hall of Fame, Long Island Basketball Hall of Fame and Hofstra University's Basketball Hall of Fame. He has earned Chaminade High School's Distinguished Alumni Award, along with the Dean Smith Award and is a Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame nominee.
